Association changed events pass the old and new endpoint as payload. This
requires some extra synchronized work and garbage. However, there is nothing in
the code base that actually does anything with this and I think its unlikely
that 3-rd party could/would do anything useful with it. Therefore I propose to
remove this using the simple patch attached.
