Within DefaultController.run() the following sequence is executed:
* runFeedback();
* runAgentUpdate();
* runDeploymentUpdate();
if there is a problem in the first lines, the runDeploymentUpdate is never
called.
Each line should be surrounded by a try/catch or the method should throw a
exception only if there are serious problems.
Failure scenario:
caused by a missconfiguration on server side the server returned a string (the
Vaadin servlet returned a error page) which could not be parsed for versions.
Then the runAgentUpdate() threw a NumberFormatException
