I think we may need to revert this commit(https://github.com/apache/airflow/commit/b5b9287a75596a617557798f1286cf7b89c55350#diff-a7b22c07c43739c8eb0850a6fd6f7eb8) in v1-10-test branch as it is already included in master branch. I think the original author creates a separate commit for v10.1 release. Once that commit is reverted, thing should be much easier.
