Thanks, and sorry for taking so long to follow up. I [implemented a rule](https://github.com/jmelot/airflow/commit/d9a109952d9bec5b7dc6e7db10001dd69a7e796d) for this that parses the text of the files in the dags folder and looks for bitshift operators being used on DAG instances. I keep wondering if I'm missing a better way to do this, though.
