I got a little bit further with finding the root cause of why `start_date` may be null: when one transitions the state of the DagRun from `failed` to `running` using the form that appears at `http://<airflow_host>/dagrun/edit/<dag_id>`, then that form will cause the `start_date` for the DagRun to be cleared. If the scheduler then decides it is necessary to transition the DagRun into a `failed` state, which may happen if the TIs have not been cleared (which requires a separate action when using this form), and/or no more tasks can be ran, then this subsequently causes the `TypeError` to be raised in `_emit_duration_stats_for_finished_state()`. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
