   I'm facing the same issue as OP and unfortunately what @renanleme said does 
not apply to my situation.
   I read a lot about the `AIRFLOW__SCHEDULER__RUN_DURATION` that 
@jonathonbattista mentioned to be the solution, but first of all, this config 
does not appear to be implemented in airflow 2.X and second,  as the [Scheduler 
documentation](https://airflow.apache.org/docs/apache-airflow/stable/scheduler.html)
 says: 
   > scheduler is designed to run as a persistent service in an Airflow 
production environment.
   
   I wouldn't mind restarting the scheduler, but it is not clear for me the 
reason of the hanging queued tasks. In my environment, it appears to be very 
random.
