Hmm. Static checks are failing. But I think this is a bit too much of breaking change. It's virtually guaranteed to break existing configurations. I wonder if better option would be to add a "use_ssl" extra (default = true) to keep backwards compatibility. And the default port will depend on this flag if not set.
