I think this is actually wrong. The @pytest.mark.backend() marker specifically requires the backend to be available and the tests will be skipped if the specified backend is not available (and it is enabled by specifying --backend flag when running tests). I do not think there is anything to fix here. Maybe I am wrong and there is another scenario - but for now I will close it - but if there is a good reason why ensure_connection is additionally needed please explaine @tronlightracer . -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
