Is there a way to install both and use <1.4 for python2 and >=1.4 for python3? I'm not sure if @kaxil is correct but if they are only removing support for python 3.4 then there shouldn't be an issue here. I would be happy to take a stab at refactoring airflow's MySqlHook for 1.4 if nobody else is working on it.
