Also... if you're going to "lock" executor, you'll also have to "lock" executor_config -- since if the user changes the configured executor for a task, they might also change the config, and you wouldn't want to update one but not the other. But still, it doesn't seem right to me to lock this in this way. It seems pretty arbitrary, I don't really see a good justification for it.
