This approach seems reasonable IMO. Can you add a test for it? Also, configuring [pre-commit](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/8d5b43443a8925d55fe044d7a12f8b1ffe44cb6e/contributing-docs/08_static_code_checks.rst#pre-commit-hooks) configured?
