I tried to use libcst in airflow as a tiny POC of this issue here https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/5b7977a149492168688e6f013a7dcd4fe3561a49/scripts/ci/pre_commit/check_deferrable_default.py#L34. It mostly works great except for its speed.
