@potiuk , thank you very much for sharing all this. I will read through those discussion and gather more context. I also agree on what we should do is to think about how to implement serialization in an extensible way. Thinking about what are the serialization required by the core (e.g. datetime, timezone, maybe pydantic) and what are those not necessary to the core and can be optional for users (e.g. pandas, delta lake, iceberg).
