   > Thanks for the context. I've used the above suggestions for a workaround
and plan on migrating off the built-in postgres soon. In the future, I would
appreciate if removals or won't fixes for broken features are shared ahead of
time in the `user` email list, as a top-level message in the community Slack,
or in release notes (unless I missed it somewhere).

   This is already happening.

We will certainly continue announcing things in release notes (as usual)
when we release it - we usually announce things that happen in both user@
mailing lists and slack announcement channels - when it happens. Since we have
not removed it **yet**, it only happened in the devlist and this is where we
discuss what we are planning and vote on current development. In the RC
announcements we also ask our users to test it before release, so I am counting
people who rely on those changes will notify and test those things we plan
release of.

Also - this was a development/try only feature (and clearly marked as such)
so we were not too worried about "loosing a user feature" as it was never one
that was supposed to be relied on. What we are planning to release the chart
with is sqlite support for testing/development (so the test/try feature will be
maintained - at least for Airlfow 3) - so really what is going to happen is no
big change when we release a new version (unless people are doing something we
strongly discouraged them to do, that is)..

BTW. Reviews and testing and possibly even helping with fixing
https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/55962 that is aiming to address sqlite
change is highly appreciated. Airflow Helm Chart is really something the
community releases as convenience packaging. The main "product" of our releases
is Airflow itself, and I think contribuition of any kind (including tesitng,
reviews, encouraging contributors to continue/complete their work - as a way of
giving back to the community for the "extra" things that you can get for free
is a good idea in general.
