   It's ok - we do not prevent committers to make changes directly to 
airflow-sites. We are not **relesing** that code here, it's purely a driver to 
publish our docs, so while theorethically we could merge something "roque" 
here, it's still visible in the history and only committers could do it, and it 
won't be direcly installable by users (it's not an officially, legally binding 
release of the ASF).
   
   Surely we cannot let **anyone** to merge such code - only committers can, 
but this is purely a balance between flexibility and being able to publish 
things quickly vs. security. Again - Commiiter only, and we do not **have to** 
have protected branches here.
   
   
   If you think we should change it @RNHTTR -> opening a devlist discussion on 
the permissions and protected branches for `airflow-site` and 
`airflow-site-archive` might be a good starting point.
