Closing this PR, it will be kept as history, we can continue the discussion. https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/59004 is the 'doc only' part of this PR. After a discussion with Jed, we figured that we probably don't want to facilitate people updating the metadata database, and instead just added a documentation about it, so power users have guidance on how to do that, really if necessary, but we do not provide tools to do it. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
