This change has been in our internal Airflow build for two years and has proven effective at preventing unexpected termination of trigger jobs by capturing cleanup context in scenarios such as deadlocks, instance restarts (in Kubernetes environments), and trigger job reassignment. It seems the discussion is still ongoing, and I’d like to follow up.
