Thanks for the review and for pointing this out. The intent here is to expose an existing partition_key through the API rather than introduce new business logic. I’m currently verifying where DagRunAssetReference instances are constructed to ensure the field is properly populated and not just added at the schema level. I agree that this should be covered by tests — I’m adding a unit test for the relevant endpoint to assert the presence of partition_key in the response.
