JFYI this never made it onto any release notes retroactively, which as far as I understand, was the main reason this issue was still open. This was very subtle to debug, alongside an overall rocky Airflow 3 migration at the time. It's **probably** not as pressing anymore, since the official (https://airflow.apache.org/docs/apache-airflow/3.1.7/authoring-and-scheduling/serializers.html) documentation is up to date now, but y'all are the experts on what level of proactive "Breaking Changes" you want to show the community with each version's patch notes.
