I'd favor a single switch. Main reason is we have already too many config options and if it is a rare case then somebody can Kustomize around w/o need to embed complexity into the core chart. But as in the next 20 years or so the infrastrcture will slowly migrate away from IPv4 I think this optio is reasonable to have in the chart as a core feature.
