   I believe de-dupping in python is worse than distinct in this scenario. You 
would be loading the entire result in memory (which would be massive in this 
case) and perhaps use a set operation. I was just wondering where any kind of 
deduplication was necessary (and therefore distinct could just be omitted). But 
you seem to imply dedupping cannot be skipped so in that case, it might be 
better to keep the distinct.
