FrankYang0529 opened a new pull request, #72554:
URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/72554

   ## Why

   - #52325 moved the single-value XCom lookups from `Query.first()` to
`session.scalars(...).first()` / `session.execute(...).first()`, and the
explicit `.limit(1)` was dropped in review as redundant with `first()`
(https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/52325#discussion_r2222463044).
   - That is true for the legacy `Query.first()`, which adds `LIMIT 1` to the
SQL. `Result.first()` does not: its docstring says "no limit is applied to the
SQL query", and with a buffering DBAPI driver "all rows will be sent to the
Python process and all but the first row will be discarded"
(https://github.com/sqlalchemy/sqlalchemy/blob/rel_2_0_52/lib/sqlalchemy/engine/result.py#L1447-L1453).

   ## How

   - Add `.limit(1)` back on the four single-row lookups:
`get_mapped_xcom_by_index` and `get_xcom`, `TaskInstance.xcom_pull`, and the
`create_xcom_entry`.

   ## Verification

   Set up:

   ```
   uv sync --package apache-airflow-core
   uv pip install -e shared/*/
   ```

   Unit test:

   ```
   uv run --package apache-airflow-core pytest \
airflow-core/tests/unit/api_fastapi/execution_api/versions/head/test_xcoms.py \
       airflow-core/tests/unit/models/test_taskinstance.py \
       airflow-core/tests/unit/api_fastapi/core_api/routes/public/test_xcom.py
   ```
