Manual backport of #73159 to `chart/v1-2x-test` (the automated backport failed on conflicts). The template, values and schema changes applied cleanly. The only conflicts were in the test files, both placement collisions with tests that exist on this branch but not on `main`: this branch has a richer parametrized log groomer lifecycle test and an extra webserver config volume test.
