Thanks for picking this up but the issue was open because it is pending a discussion, so we will have to park this one. The code is decent. The problem is that it answers a question we have not decided yet. Clearing rules for state scopes are being settled in AIP-123 (still a draft). I would not ask if it were easy to undo. But this puts `keep_task_state` in two public REST bodies, two CLI flags, and the `clear_task_instances()` default. Once the name ships, the AIP has to live with it, and that's a bigger issue. Better that the AIP picks the name and the default first. I will point #72929 at AIP-123 so nobody restarts this. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
