@Dev-iL part of the solution. I linked it because it tracks moving DB calls off the event loop and DB calls on the event loop are what caused this issue. One thing that might be worth adding to its checklist is that response models shouldn't query the DB during serialization (switching to async sessions doesn't cover that case).
