The section instructed users to set `AIRFLOW__SCHEDULER__TASK_INSTANCE_HEARTBEAT_SEC`. In Airflow 3, this configuration option was dead code and was removed in #73766. 2. The example DAG instructed users to run `sleep 600` in a `BashOperator`. However, running a sleeping subprocess does not cause the supervising task runner to fail heartbeats, so the documented reproduction steps do not actually reproduce a heartbeat timeout. 3.
