I'd be interested in picking up Step 2 — switching the three latest-run lookups (dashboard `dag_stats`, `generate_dag_with_latest_run_query`, and confirming `latest_dag_runs`/`get_latest_run_info` already match) to `run_after DESC, id DESC`, once #74481 lands. Is Step 2 still open, or do you already have it in progress?
