GitHub user mohamedashan added a comment to the discussion: airflowctl Python API
The generated `airflow-client-python` is a good low-level REST client. The use case here sounds like a higher-level `airflowctl` layer for notebooks and runbooks: shared auth/configuration, typed request/response models, pagination and retries, and task-oriented methods that return Python objects rather than CLI-formatted output. Keeping that layer separate from argparse and terminal rendering would let the CLI reuse it without breaking commands, while avoiding a duplicate generated API client. A small first step could be one read-only resource (for example, DAG listing and triggering) with tests, then expand only where the CLI already has stable behavior.
