bnspopi opened a new pull request, #74598:
URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/74598
The variables table in the templates reference links `DagRun`, `DAG`,
`BaseOperator` and `TaskInstance` to `airflow.models.*` classes. Those modules
are not part of the documented API in Airflow 3, so the links render as plain
text and nothing is clickable. That is what #60477 reports.
This points them at the public Task SDK objects instead:
- `{{ dag }}` -> `airflow.sdk.DAG`
- `{{ task }}` -> `airflow.sdk.BaseOperator`
- `{{ task_instance }}` / `{{ ti }}` ->
`airflow.sdk.types.RuntimeTaskInstanceProtocol`, shown as "TaskInstance"
- `{{ dag_run }}` and the other Dag run references ->
`airflow.sdk.types.DagRunProtocol`, shown as "DagRun"
These are the same targets the public interface page already uses, so they
resolve. `AssetEvent` has no public class to link to, so it is shown as code.
`random.random` is a function, so it now uses `:func:`.
Two earlier PRs for this issue (#60507 and #71562) went stale after
approval; this follows the same idea with targets that exist in the current
docs.
closes: #60477
