With the current chart defaults, a temporary Git repository failure makes the Git-Sync sidecar exit after its first failed synchronization, triggering a container restart. Change the existing `dags.gitSync.maxFailures` default from `0` to `5`, allowing four retries before the default image exits on the fifth consecutive failure. Retries wait `dags.gitSync.period` after each failed attempt (default: `5s`), using a constant delay. A successful sync resets the counter. Explicit `0` keeps immediate exit on failure, and `-1` enables unlimited retries. The setting applies to sidecar and init containers. Update the values/schema descriptions and add concise operational guidance. Rendering tests cover the default and explicit limits for all Git-Sync sidecars and init containers, including Kubernetes worker pod templates. Target: `main` (Helm Chart 2.x default change). Validation in Breeze with Python 3.11.16: - Five regression cases fail before the change; all 20 default/override cases pass afterward. - Full Helm suite: 2300 passed (Kubernetes 1.31.12). - Core `Always` checks: 1894 passed / 3 skipped with database; 299 passed / 1 expected failure without database. - Applicable pre-commit/manual checks, documentation build and spellcheck pass. - `git diff --check` passes. The full suites ran before documentation-only follow-ups. Focused Helm tests, static checks and documentation are rechecked on the current rebased branch. --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Codex (GPT-6) Generated-by: Codex (GPT-6) following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
