The pod scheduling/startup timeouts in `await_pod_start` and the XCom sidecar startup timeout in `await_xcom_sidecar_container_start` measured elapsed time with `time.time()`, which is subject to NTP corrections and manual clock changes. A backward step could stall a wait loop well past its configured timeout; a forward step could abort a pod that was still starting normally.
