Here is a static mockup with the new calendar view

https://www.figma.com/proto/WnLaS3rHiR37xpMvL21M2N/Airflow---Calendar?node-id=43-2&viewport=296%2C405%2C0.18&t=UFh8UZh7CiDyxLGD-1&scaling=scale-down&content-scaling=fixed&starting-point-node-id=43%3A2&page-id=0%3A1

We wanted to make the calendar more functional and so we experimented with
having a pop up or a modal or a dialog that shows the dag runs for a day. But
that was adding too much complexity and so we thought that it would be best if
the user just clicks on a day and that takes him to the Runs tab with the date
filters pre-applied. The idea is that the Calendar tab maintains its state so
that it's easy for the user to return and pick it up from where he left things
off. In the mockup the calendar doesn't maintain the state. Not everything
works, this is more for discussing the high level approach.

Also on the right there is a dropdown with a filter based on the different
date fields available. That can be used for the filters in the Runs tab.

If you click on each day, it takes you to the day view but if you click on
the box with the total number it takes you to the Runs tab.

   I'd appreciate any feedback.
