You're right, "crash loop" overstates it. With a transient drop, the processor reconnects after the restart and carries on. What I actually reproduced is one exit per connection drop. The problem is that a single DB blip takes the whole processor down, along with whatever it was parsing, instead of being absorbed and retried on the next loop. That's what this change fixes.
