New providers have to be added by hand to the "Active providers" list on the airflow-site documentation index. The release docs mentioned this, but the step was easy to miss, and nothing caught it when it was skipped. DuckDB, IBM Db2, IBM MQ and Modal were released without it; that was fixed in apache/airflow-site#1690. `breeze workflow-run publish-docs --site-env live` now fails before triggering any workflow when a provider it publishes is neither in the index on `main` of `apache/airflow-site` nor added to it by an open PR there. When an open PR adds it, the command lists that PR at the end, so the release order is: open the airflow-site PR, publish the docs, merge the PR. `--skip-site-index-check` turns the check off. The release docs now cover this as its own step, before "Publish documentation", with a command to list the missing providers and the entry format. The `prepare-providers-documentation` skill and the Magpie release-management config point release managers to it. related: apache/airflow-site#1690 --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes (please specify the tool below) Generated-by: Claude Opus 5 following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
