I checked the reported serialization/deserialization scenario on main (`099c03e443`) using Breeze with Python 3.11. It succeeds and preserves the templated `from_date` and `to_date` strings. This appears to be fixed by #60414, which preserves strings in `_deserialize_datetime()`.
