The HITL operator `body` is rendered as Markdown, but the tutorial never says so; only the provider API reference mentions it. A single newline in Markdown is shown as a space, so a templated multi-line value such as a dry-run result pulled from XCom ends up on one line, and users read this as a bug (#74018). Formatting the body as Markdown is the intended behaviour, so this documents it and shows how to keep the line breaks, rather than changing how newlines render. Code blocks keep their line breaks since #66809 (3.4); the note covers earlier versions too. The XCom tab part of the issue was fixed in #74112, so this closes it. closes: #74018 --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Claude Code (Opus 5.5) Generated-by: Claude Code (Opus 5.5) following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
