AZSJTinus opened a new issue, #75452: URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/75452
### Under which category would you file this issue? Airflow Core ### Apache Airflow version 3.3.2 ### What happened and how to reproduce it? The [DAG documentation](https://airflow.apache.org/docs/apache-airflow/stable/core-concepts/dags.html#deadline-alerts) mentions the possibility of using an SmtpNotifier, however this does (no longer?) seem to be possible as using one results in the error below: ``` Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/airflow/airflow/dags/TEST/Deadline.py", line 15, in <module> deadline=DeadlineAlert( File "/opt/airflow/airflow/sdk/definitions/deadline.py", line 160, in __init__ raise ValueError(f"Callbacks of type {type(callback).__name__} are not currently supported") ValueError: Callbacks of type SmtpNotifier are not currently supported ``` Only after navigating to the [Deadline Alerts page ](https://airflow.apache.org/docs/apache-airflow/stable/howto/deadline-alerts.html) it becomes clear that the feature in experimental, however it would be better to give a different example on the DAG documentation page. Additional question: When will SmtpNotifier be supported by deadline alerts? ### What you think should happen instead? Change documentation or support SmtpNotifier when using deadlines. ### Operating System Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS ### Deployment Virtualenv installation ### Apache Airflow Provider(s) _No response_ ### Versions of Apache Airflow Providers _No response_ ### Official Helm Chart version Not Applicable ### Kubernetes Version _No response_ ### Helm Chart configuration _No response_ ### Docker Image customizations _No response_ ### Anything else? _No response_ ### Are you willing to submit PR? - [ ] Yes I am willing to submit a PR! ### Code of Conduct - [x] I agree to follow this project's [Code of Conduct](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
