potiuk opened a new pull request, #75611: URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/75611
GitHub authorises `convertPullRequestToDraft` and `markPullRequestReadyForReview` against `contents`, not `pull-requests`. With the monitor's `contents: read`, every draft attempt failed with "Resource not accessible by integration". Drafting was the first mutation, so the state comment and the `Fork CI / Tests (AMD)` and `CI passed` statuses were never applied either: the gate did nothing for #75586, the only gated PR so far. The same failure was also posted to #internal-airflow-ci-cd every 15 minutes. - The reconcile job keeps `contents: read` and writes the draft changes as a job output. A separate `draft-state` job with `contents: write` applies them with only `gh` and `jq`: no checkout, no Breeze or its dependencies. It validates each entry. On a release it removes `fork ci required` only after the undraft succeeds, so a failed undraft is retried. - Slack items, the run-failed message and draft-change failures are posted once while they persist. What was posted is carried between runs in the Actions cache and saved only after Slack accepts the message. --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Claude Opus 5 Generated-by: Claude Opus 5 following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
