On a fork, GitHub Actions sets `GITHUB_REPOSITORY` to the fork. The breeze provider commands use that value as the remote they fetch release tags from. Forks rarely carry every upstream release tag, so the changelog's tag-range `git log` fails and the "Providers wheel tests" job goes red for reasons that have nothing to do with the change under test. For example, a recent fork run failed with: ``` fatal: bad revision 'providers-alibaba/2.2.0...providers-alibaba/2.1.0' ``` That fork has `providers-alibaba/2.1.0rc1` but not `providers-alibaba/2.1.0`, `2.0.1` or `2.0.0`. Release tags only exist in `apache/airflow`, so the three CI steps that fetch tags now pass `--github-repository apache/airflow` explicitly. The other `prepare-provider-distributions` calls use `--skip-tag-check` and never fetch, so they are unchanged. In `apache/airflow`'s own CI the value is the same as before. --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Claude Code (Claude Opus 5) Generated-by: Claude Code (Claude Opus 5) following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
