I've just now faced a similar challenge, but with a custom operator loosely based off the `TriggerDagRunOperator`, specialized for submitting several runs in batch within a single TI of our custom operator (in other words: not via dynamic task mapping). I'd like to be able to support a dynamic "multi-link" extra link functionality as well, and my thinking is it would be best to have Airflow render that as a dropdown, rather than individual buttons. I'll see if I can put together a PR which offers support for something like that.
