@cruseakshay this needs a rebase onto `main` (it currently conflicts on
`uv.lock`). While you're at it, please also cover @seanghaeli's latest note:
`_credentials_from_connection` still returns `{}, {}` for a non-`aws`
connection (`object_storage.py:41-42`) where `main` raises `ValueError`.
