Thanks for the feedback. I vaguely recall this change, and it may be a regression. What surprises me is that I don't notice this performance issue when generating tiles for the basemap, which is a complex use case. Could you provide the version of postgres and postgis you are using (query optimization improved and I use the latest versions; postgres 17 and postgis 3.5)? Also, if you have a little time, could you also provide the query plans for your two queries?
