In more recent IOs added to the beam java SDK, we use a style like:
MyDatabaseIO.read()
which returns a transform. This seems to be the consensus style now, and it'd
be good to move the older transforms over to the newer style. XmlSource &
TextIO are two examples of older styles that should be replaced.
