Adding this back to First stable release.
[~thw] is there anything we can help with to have this implemented?
I'm currently working on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-1763 so
runners which support metrics will get this validation automatically.
Are there plans on supporting metrics in Apex runner before first stable
release?
