The outputs of reading from a {{BoundedReadFromUnboundedSource}} are not
generally well defined. This should be explicitly noted in the documentation.
Potentially, it should be deprecated.
It is also worth considering removing the finalizeCheckpoint calls within the
read, to minimally mutate the target source.
