The latest IDE's all incorporate much newer versions of Checkstyle by default.
While older versions can sometimes be used, it's a bit of a hassle. It would
be good to update to Checkstyle 8.7 (latest as of now).
This involves two main things:
1) Update the checkstyle.xml file to be parseable by the newer checkstyle
2) Update all code to then pass with the new file
This will likely resolve BEAM-3033, BEAM-3036, and BEAM-3077
