[~rangadi], so far yes the changes required for Reader support were minimal.
Just need to perform a few additional tests and should be able to create a pull
request.
Regarding writer support, I feel users should be writing KafkaRecords as well,
though the change is more of a "good to have" as currently users could embed
KafkaRecords in KV<>.
