Sorry Jacob I was pretty busy with other stuff and forgot to answer, Do you
have any time to sync on this in the next day(s)?
In the meantime probably let's start by opening the PR even without the tests
to advance the review. And then we can decide how to proceed given that it
seems really tricky to test.
