Review comment:
I did not observe 'stuckness' except for when I was testing against a FIFO
queue using the direct runner with its odd limitation of not finalizing
checkpoints until the arbitrary number of 10 messages had been received. Can
you point me to other unbound sources that you feel handle this in a better
way?
