@danny0405 Since I am seeing Calcite 1.23.0 release is under discussion in dev@calcite, do you think if CALCITE-3955 should be a blocker for this PR? My personal opinion is we can merge this PR while working on CALCITE-3955 separately (I am following up CALCITE-3955).
